The TANF Self-Assessment is for D.C. residents receiving benefits through the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Program. This assessment includes a series of questions that will help the Department of Human Services (DHS) learn more about you, your family, and the goals you have so we can support you on your journey. From this assessment, we hope to provide an opportunity for you to think about your future and what would be helpful for moving in that direction. Some of the information you provide will help DHS connect you to the most appropriate coach to guide you towards reaching your goals, along with additional resources that you may need. If you do not want to complete this assessment on your own, then you may schedule an appointment with a DHS staff member in the Office of Work Opportunity (OWO). You may contact OWO at 202-698-1860 or email
[email protected] to schedule an appointment or ask questions.
